Attendance Advice Part of our DEIS plan focusses on improving school attendance. We are very proud of our attendance statistics, but we have noticed that a pattern of late arrival and early collection is emerging. It is vital that children attend school for the full day so that they have access to the entire curriculum and all the activities that our children enjoy. The following advice lists how you can promote good attendance habits by:

The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the play world(s), friendship groups and potentially the wellbeing of every child in the country, with and without special needs. Playgrounds, schools and sports clubs are closed, after school activities are cancelled and children cannot meet and hang out with their friends as they used to. These are hugely significant changes in the day to day lives and routines of Irish children. In addition, we have no understanding of any ideas, strategies and solutions children and their parents came up with, where possible, to overcome these difficulties.
To access the views, experiences and opinions of children and their parents we have developed an online survey questionnaire on this topic and would be very grateful if you would consider promoting the survey on your Facebook / Twitter account or forward on the link to any of your relevant email lists or parents to enable them to express their views. The survey runs from 8am Tuesday 26th May until midnight on Tuesday 2nd June if you would like to take part.
